link your clips together (read inside)

hi contributors.
i wanna say i think its a good idea to link your files together.
like this:
====================================================
1) in the full length track, in the description box, add links
to the edits, if you have edits to that track. i think the best linking
is with those round grey buttons with a play sign, so that you can
play the edit while still in the original clip's page.
2) in the edits' description (edits of the full length track) add links
to the original track from which the edit was...edited.
also, add links to the other edits of that same
original track, that you may have.
when handling the link adding at points 2) and 3), sort your
uploaded items by the title sorting order, cuz its easier
for you to find the edits (if you named them accordingly
to the original clip)
3) in various clips you may have (full lengths, edits or independent
loops or intros or sfx) add links to similar clips from your portfolio,
that resemble that specific clip.
by similar i mean similiar as instruments or as mood or as a use,
cuz some client might search for a classical happy tune, but if you
redirect him to a happy tune that is electronic, he might change his mind).
for example, if you have several startup sounds for mobile devices,
link them together, redirect from one another.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this way, you're directing the client to other items in your portfolio,
which he might not know exist (or have the patience to search)
these links i think are good for more visibility of our portfolio's clips,
and i think increase at least the number of views by some (small?)
percent, if not sales too.
you could space your links sections so that the client
sees the links to edits separate (visually) from the links
to similar clips.
=====================================================
also, dont forget to upload your edits (that are edits of full lentghs
that you already uploaded) as separate entries, and not put them
in the same page as the original full length clip. separate entries
index better in searches (as far as i know) and thus make you more
visible in the search results page for clients.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=====================================================
also, name your edits (that are edits of full lentghs that you already
uploaded) accordingly to the original clip. for example:
original clip name: "Rock Track"
edit name: "Rock Track - Loop" or "Rock Track - Loop 1" or "Rock Track - Intro" etc.
this way, the client knows that there's more, that theres an original clip etc.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=====================================================
perhaps an experiment with different contributors linking files from eachother,
as an exchange, would be useful. as in, i link some rock files to rock files of
other contributor's, in exchange of him doing the same on that clip.
this might increase the overall views of the site and indirectly everyone
involved's views/sales.
