mov Apple ProRes 422 do not work

i downloaded this file

extention
(mov / Apple ProRes 422 / 1920x1080 / 29.97 FPS)

and i cant import it to final cut pro x

or any other players on my mac , i know i sound like a beginner but i am with Pond 5

so please help !

Will it open in QT? If it does, hit command > I, a dialogue with clip info will pop up and give you an idea of what you are working with. Is it really Pro Res? If it isn't, you can either try and get your money back, or try running it through MPEG StreamClip and export to ProRes... FCP should take it then.. If QT won't open it, click on the file once to highlight and hit command > I, the finder will then give you similar info...
