layering sounds

Hi. I just found you guys I would like to download a few audio tracks from your sound effects collection and layer them onto a single track. could you point me to some simple software.? Thanks

If you are unfamiliar, try Audacity. It's free, and quite capable.

Also Reaper (not free, but very capable and affordable)

Both have lots of support forums and communities.
