Just getting started, would like feedback.

Hi All,
I would appreciate some feedback on my portfolio.

I haven't had any sales, but I know my portfolio is pretty small right now, (20 files) and things like that American flag shot is in a pretty saturated category, so I'm not worried yet. Just would like to make sure I'm not making any drastic mistakes before I put too much effort into this.

Also, has anyone noticed any effect on sales in regard to your portfolio photo/background? I'm guessing that as long as it isn't hideous, it doesn't make much of a difference.

PS: I know having model released footage is good, and I'll be uploading some very soon.

Thanks!

All good sellable concepts. You just need more video before you get concerned about sales.
My only advice is as you already mentioned. Don't get caught up in easy or overdone video concepts.
Or if you do look at the subject and ask yourself what can you do to make it stand out above the rest so it will sell.

The backyard deer. You should have the second video with "backyard deer on the BBQ pit"

Thanks!
Ironically, I just had my first sale, and it was of that American flag on Shutterstock. Not sure what to make of that...
