While El would be great,i agree, dont you find it ironic that you are discussing this while p5 is preparing a subs program?
I mean these two are complete opposite strategies.

Sub is being done already at VB and SS. Extended licensing is something P5 said they were working on about 4 years ago from NAB discussions. Extended license is just another avenue for sales that can easily be part of any existing or new sales program. AND it works, HD sales at over $300 is common with Extended license and 4K even higher priced.

I know but im under the impression that EL is not just an added service, meaning it needs infstructure and more people actively dealing with companies and technicalities and generally operating more as a middle man and allocating resources towards this direction, whereas the subs program hints of a more "introvert" approach and that's where p5 has decided to allocate it's resources at.They're in a way looking for buyers from "within".That's what i meant.

VB doesnt offer EL and i would be pretty surprised if they did or could implement this. They aren't interested apparently nor do they have the resources, plus the fixed low price will make things rather expensive for EL hd and will propably ruin their whole moded.
On the other hand If they implement it cheap, well thats more complicated.

Shutterstock on the other hand does it in addition to a mixed bag of deals (most of them cheap),but they operate on a whole different level constantly dealing from the "outside".
P5 is not going towards the direction of SS (thankfully) but VB (not sure if im thankful for this) .
