Moving Thumbnails

It is interesting how I can roll over a thumbnail in a search and the video starts to play but I don't like how when I roll over another one it starts playing and the other keeps playing as well.

It would be better if a new video starts playing the older one turns off.

Hi Shiftback – interesting observation. Our thinking has been that it’s preferable to allow multiple clips to play back simultaneously, in order to be able to better compare them. But I can see how people might find it distracting...

What does everybody else think? Should one preview stop playing when another starts?

I think you should have an option for the websurfer choose what kind of experience he want have.

If he prefers like it's now, with many moving images or with only one and quicker image appearing.

In the meantime, I'd be interested in hearing what everybody else thinks: what is the ideal way of presenting the previews?

I like how they all play at once. That way I don't have to go back and click on it to look at it again. If there is a faster way for the clips to play then I would choose that over multiple clips playing at once, though.

Ok, we’ve gone ahead and added the option to the https://www.pond5.com/zh/index.php?page=my_preferences page – you can now disable multiclip playback.

We’re continuing working on ways to make the previews faster and better... all ideas and suggestions are welcome!

I like it. When I found your site I was making a purchase for a project I am releasing and liked the format of the site so much well I jumped on board with my stuff. I like being able to compare the clips at the same time, very nice. I've only made 1 sale so far but i'm digging it for sure and have tons more to upload. I think what would be useful as a clip vendor so to speak, would be to be able to get stats at the end of the month as to what kind of clips are selling the most, what catagory, what format, the more info the beter. Would help us all out. But all in all thanks for the great service you offer. It might just make it possible to make a living doing this stuff.
