Trying to figure out the proper settings using my Adobe software. Anyone out there use Premier Pro 2.0 to get your clips ready to send in an acceptable form ? Can anyone help? I also tried using the free converter and was confused with all the choices. Does that come with instructions? Can't find any. Thanks. Im new at this and it is very frustrating.

I've got a PC and have been using the StreamClip converter. Works well for me if I transfer AVI to MOV with their very specific requirements although it took me a few days of trial and error. I hope this helps some. Good luck.

I use Adobe Premier Pro 2. I shoot HDV .avi. Once imported and edited on the timeline I export with the export movie function. In the export movie window select the settings tab. The following settings are the changes I make for 1080i 16:9 frame size in NTSC format:
General> File type- Quicktime

Video> Compressor- Motion JPEG B
Frame size- 1920x1080 <select to match your camera ratio>
Pixel aspect ratio- Square pixels
Quality- 85% <higher than this creates very large file size>

You may need different settings if you are 4:3 frame size and non HD format. Also if you shoot PAL the frame rate will be different. Hope this helps a bit.
