SCREEN GRABS USED AS STILL IMAGES

Hey all! Had someone ask me if can they take a screen grab from their (paid for) video project (containing legally download/used Pond5 resource) and use that grab as a stand alone image (like for use in social media... Instagram, Facebook, Twitter). It would be a commercial thing... (advert for a product). Does that sort of thing come under "manipulate" as it's put in the T&C/licensing TIA. Cheers

I would send in an email to support asking them the legalities of their contract.

In a thread several months ago this issue was brought up. P5 did not think it was important. The old days of interlaced video is about gone. These resulted in poor photos. Not so anymore.
Now with very high quality 4K and up footage using individual frames as high quality photos is a strong possibility. An extended license would cover this and be fair for both the buyers and Artist. Buyers would not have a problems as it protects them under an extended license.
