How to smooth transition in loopinig footage in the background of a video

I want to use moving clouds in the background of a video. As the footage ends I want to loop it back around to the beginning but as it does this there is an obvious jerk /interruption in the cloud movement. Is there a way I can smooth this loop for continuous moving cloud background without a lot of complicated editing? I thought maybe to fade out the ending of the cloud footage as I fade in the beginning. Or will the loop interruption be less obvious once I download the clip and incorporate it into the video?
