Conversion from PAL to NTSC with Sony Vegas 7

Hi,
I am a new member at Pond5. As an Austrian, I am used to work in PAL. Now I am of course interested in quality conversion from PAL to NTSC to reach a broader market for my clips. I roamed the forum for answers but cannot find satisfaction. (Or I am blind).
I know of the existens of very expensive tools or software, which will do the job. But this is out of my possibilities.
Out of curiosity I experimented now with my editing software "Sony Vegas 7". Opticaly I got a very good result. A check with "GSpot" and "Quicktime Pro 7" resulted in a technical proper NTSC file. The same results I got with "MPEG Streamclip".

Can somebody please help me to find out the truth?

Please upload only the native version of your clips - if you are shooting in PAL, upload PAL only.

We hope to do automated NTSC/PAL conversions in the near future.
