is $10 for an image too expensive?

No image sales since July last year so I recently dropped all my image prices from $29.90 to $10. Is this still too much do you think?
No footage sales since last June. My prices were raised at the recommendation of people here to $79.90 and I got some immediate success but now almost nothing for almost a year even though I upload images at least on a regular basis.
Should I lower my prices? Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance
Tony

The problem will be it will be a race to the bottom, just like the image libraries. So from $29, then $10, to $1 !!
I see footage from good contributors selling for over $300 per clip. So depends on your time, equipment, travel, etc and what you think you are worth.

Are you talking about photographs or Video?
If it's photos, you're battling the large stock sites like SS or others where you can buy a photo for a buck.
No sale in a year? well, I'd say your subject matter is over saturated and you need to start shooting something else.

I'm with the other stock sites and make multiple sales every day. The problem with selling here for a buck is the EL licensing or lack of here. My video library is very small and something I need to look at bettering, this I know. I'll give it another month or 2 then reevaluate.

I have several thousand photos here at P5 that sell well on other high priced agencies. I still rarely get a photo sale here. I don't sell photos on the dollar stocks, my time and work is worth far more than what they pay. Look at the Artist resources here at P5 and you will see very high priced photos do sell here. Dropping prices won't help. In the photo stock world the competition is massive, far more difficult than footage and footage is reaching the point of saturation. No sale in a year on photos doesn't really mean you are shooting the wrong subject it just means a buyer hasn't found yours in the tens of millions that are available. Any photo used in a commercial news paper, magazine, web page wall arts is worth far in excess of a few dollars. My best selling single photo sold for over $32,500.00 and I've had many sell for over a grand.
