For those creating and selling music tracks, do you have advice on how to get your music noticed? I make indie folk orchestral music and am on a kick right now of making music for wedding films.
Thoughts are appreciated!

Upload on regular basis. I noticed I change when I passed about 40 tracks if I remember right! :-)

You changed that from 80 to 40 ... was it all quality tracks, or just an amount? I'm so slow it will take me 20 years to get 80 tracks ...

I wasn't sure if I remembered it right. It was some years ago. Some of them are good tracks but far from all. Still learning :-)
The main point is that you have to have regular uploads or hit songs. I think you could have a portfolio of one to ten songs but you also need to have skills to produce these hit songs and knowledge of the market.

I have no skills. I record by feel. So when I get something good it's either dumb luck, or I opened a portal, however briefly, to the flow of the universe.
Yeah, so dumb luck.
But when I do it, I feel right about things.
Knowledge of the market makes my creative impulses droop. That whole "Millennial whoop" thing .. blech. (especially combined with 4 on the floor) If I was smart, I'd use it. But it make me feel dirty to do such things. SO. More bombastic cinematic blather? Nope. Ukeleles and whistling? Sorry, retching too much to whistle.
Better than mining coal or clearcutting forests though ...
Regularly uploading music is key, and I definitely need to do more. As in not spending 6 weeks "perfecting" a cello part.(with the usual result of having it be lifeless and bland)
Let the flow flow and get on with it. The hit factory isn't.

Another good thing is to try to drive traffic to Pond5 by a homepage, youtube etc but you also need to put down time on that soundcloud page or whatever platform you choose to make it work.

True. But making more music is the most important. Whatever it is, derivative or not. One thing I consider is that make sure to make the music (or video) for stock FIRST ... then spout off about it. If you do it the other way, the energy gets lost, and it goes nowhere.
Since I've been listening to tracks on P5 lately, I notice the dude POND5 saying is geared toward the amplitude ... so even a louder track he still sounds like a giant in your ear. That's got to be off-putting, no?

This is great stuff guys! I've been concluding the answer down to 2 main points and in this order.
1) Regular uploads on a weekly basis no matter what.
2) Drive traffic to your stock library via websites, social media, and other platforms.
