Do you guys notice this checker board pattern as first frames of some videos? Is this something wrong with the video, or just a loading type screen?

Zygis wanted his clips with alpha to show this in the preview so now pond5 FLV previews are using alpha (the VP6:es at least). It is true alpha so it would be possible to alter the background on the fly. We'll do some tests with the animation codec too and regenerate all of those previews if the tool chain seems to understand it the whole way.
Scott: The video added event in flash fires not necessarily when the video has been added it seems. I had a few flash-frames delay before adding the grid. I changed so it also will alpha in the grid, giving the impression everything is under control. A lie of course, you're never in complete control in Flash - it's one of those stochastic vm:s out there.
