actors and agreements

Hey there,

What agreements do you make with actors if you sell video to pond5?

Lets say, you film a dancer and you sell the footage on pond5. Do you pay them or do you make an agreemnt on sales?

I pay actors. Trying to make some agreement on sales would be pretty hard to keep up with.
How long? forever?
Some percentage?
That would be pretty hard to track those sales and give the actor his cut.

The easiest thing is to pay a per hour rate and you're done.

Any suggestions on hourly rate?

We pay $15 to $20 an hour depending on experience or if we’ve worked with them.
We tell them the shoot will be 3 hours minimum.
