Automatic BPM for Tracks

MasterProduction 13 Sep 2018 19:15
Hey, most of my tracks don't have a bpm indicator. I suppose it should be happening automatically, when the info of the track you're uploading is being read, but for me it's not really working as far as I'm concerned. And I haven't found an option to implement it manually.
Can someone maybe explain and possibly come up with a solution?
Thanks

As far as I can see, the only tempo info that you're able to enter manually is slow, medium or fast, but this doesn't seem to have any effect on the bpm indicator anyway. For example, I've entered slow for one track and it shows as 120bpm. Like you I have tracks that have no tempo showing at all, even though they have a very defined beat. It would be handy if P5 allowed us to enter the specific tempo ourselves, I think.

Yeah, some of the auto bpms are way off.

Write the tempo of the track in the description.

When I was studying music for film, one of the first things we were taught was to, while watching a scene, tap/click a tempo that fitted the motion and editing, and then use that as the foundation for writing. Currently, when searching for music here, the tempo filter is divided into 3 very broad categories. Would it be useful if folks were able to home in on a more specific tempo? Say like when you're narrowing down a price range, and you can more a couple of sliders or something? Or just type it in?
