I always look forward to your next feature and am never disappointed. Great work Mark. Just wish we had scenery like that here in lower Michigan.

Beautiful footage and editing. Did you shoot/edit that in 10-bit 4:2:2? If so, what are the relevant specs on your computer? I'm looking for a new computer and want to be sure that it will have no problem editing 10-bit 4:2:2 4K video from a GH5. I will be using Adobe Premier, not Grass Valley Edius, but I figure that if it works for Edius, it will work with Premier.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks guys. I shoot 8 bit 4:2:0 with my GH5 and edit with Edius WG 8.53. My computer specs are: i7 6700K, Asus 170-A mobo, 16 GB Ram, System 960 Evo M.2, Video 850 Evo SSD, Shadow Rock Slim cpu cooler, On board graphics, Corsair 400c case, HD Spark, Windows 10 Home. Everything plays in realtime. Have not tried 4:2:2 or 10 bit. But in Edius WG I can just scale the playback and it should play ok. Or change project settings to 1080, do the edits then export in 4K which is my normal workflow.

Thanks! I thought for sure it was 10-bit 4:2:2... looks really beautiful.

So, do you catch the birds by accident, or do you sit and wait for them?
Beautiful work.
Beautiful work.

By accident and sometimes I wait for them if there is a lot of activity. I was on site about 8 hours so plenty of opportunity for wildlife observation. on this shoot. Sometimes I carry some seed and place on rocks then come back to see if there is any activity a couple of hours latter. Also having a 600mm effective lens helps a lot.
