Sound Effects Rejection?

All of my music is always accepted by Pond5, but ALL of my sound effects are always rejected (though are accepted on other platforms). I have no idea why? Are sound effects already saturated or something? Not sure what I am doing wrong....
Any advice on this would be really appreciated. Thanks :)

What is the reason they give for the rejection?

Thanks for submitting but unfortunately we are unable to accept these files. As the Pond5 continues to grow and respond to industry trends, we're paying particular attention our audio portfolio which is also why we've dramatically increased "strictness" with both our artist vetting process and our acceptance policy, especially for sound effects. Our goal has always been been to provide a library we feel is 100% vetted, easily searchable and properly indexed. As creators we understand the frustration associated with having a track rejected: you spend all this time creating your track and you want some kind of constructive criticism. We get so many submission each day, it's just not possible to give each person detailed feedback which is why we send out our stock response most of the time. Curators use a wide range of criteria -- both subjective and objective -- to make their final call. We don't say this to discourage you at all. We value transparency and want our artists to understand the process.

Without knowing what your sound effects are, this sounds like they have enough of whatever you're trying to upload. So I would say you are correct, that subject is over saturated.
"Accepted on other platforms" is a common response from rejections. Just remember this site has different needs or different buyers than others. What one site accepts or rejects is meaningless to another site.
I would start uploading different type sound effects or maybe search for the same type you're trying to upload before you do just so you're not wasting your time.

Ive noticed this early on, which sucks because a lot of my SFX still get licensed a lot despite the market on p5 being way over saturated. I even went through trying to find niche sounds and stuff that I couldn't really find on p5, made them, and they STILL got rejected. So im not sure if theyre blanket-rejecting any tracks labelled Sound effects or what.

Same here and my atmosphere and drone effects are high quality. I guess it's a matter of saturation.

Sorry to hear that. That's weird. I've never had any SFX rejected so far, quite the opposite lately. It may be saturation most likely or, hard to tell without knowing what those effects are or how you label them.

I know it's an old thread, but this may help others. I recently had my first attempt at a SFX rejected with the same reason NDMusic quoted in 2019. As it was my first effort, I asked support to give details of the reason so I knew what to change in future. Their reason was that they don't accept SFX other than from established or "known" audio creators. They asked for a link to my own website or account on somewhere like Soundcloud where I was selling audio. They implied that this was to ensure I was genuine and not using someone else's work. I won't get into the back and forth emails about that! :) It would be good if they'd put that important information in the guidelines so people like me wouldn't buy equipment and go to lots of effort creating SFX that will never actually be accepted.
