About

Michael Lisle Dunn (M L Dunn) was born in Chichester, on the south coast of England. He started learning the violin aged 9 whilst at boarding school, where he also sang as a chorister in church and cathedral choirs. He studied the trumpet from the age of 13, playing in and writing for various bands and representing the United Kingdom in the Yamaha Song Festival at the Budokan, Tokyo, where he won a performance award.
