Shakaland is an exciting Zulu cultural village in KwaZulu Natal offering activities such as traditional Zulu pottery, brewing, hut building, beading, and hand crafting of small arms. In 1980 a famous TV series called "Shaka Zulu" led to the current resort of Shakaland. This place was the set that was used for this show for the entire time the show was filmed. The show's finale ended with most of the huts burned down, but the best houses and huts were saved to form the now famous Shakaland.
