Snake River Dam Removal Protest Rallies - Olympia WA

Protest rally held in Olympia WA to remove the lower 4 Snake River Dams in order to protect salmon reproduction and the local Orca Whale pods dependent upon Chinook salmon for survival. The rally included included speeches by local tribal, faith community, youth, non-profit organization, and government representatives to rally the group. The group then marched down the streets of Olympia to the State Capitol Grounds, after the marching band played rally songs in a local park. Protestors encouraged state and federal legislators to develop a plan and take down the 4 lower Snake River dams in order to protect endangered salmon and steelhead runs. These include the Chinook salmon, which the endangered local Puget Sound J, K and L Orca whale pods depend upon for survival.
