Dec 8 '22 Bolton, Canada - House fire seen by drone in flight - Clip series
(16)At 3h pm Wednesday December 8th 2022, fire broke out at an occupied dwelling before quickly spreading to a second house in Bolton, Ontario, Canada. Crews on the way to the address transmitted information to dispatch central that a large amount of smoke was visible over 1km away. Prior to arrival the incident was upgraded to a second alarm, a rare occurrence in firefighting in Canada. A large safety perimeter was established by OPP police around the structures involved on Stella Crescent in the area of Highway 50 and Queensgate Boulevard in Caledon. Aerial imagery provides a better look at how crews are able to manually advance lines between two houses on fire in an attempt to save as much exposure as possible. The house where the fire appears to have originated seem to have suffered total loss and it is unknown if any injuries occured to occupants, crews or pets. Radio communications reported that one pet bird was inside one of the affected buildings but its faith is unspecified. Heavy artillery was deployed by firefighters who used, among other things, a deck gun to extinguish the heavy fire they encountered upon arrival. The deck gun is a powerful large capacity hose mounted and attached atop a fire engine and in this case was used for the first 30 minutes of the intervention. Full collection: https://bit.ly/3FgaOnp
