Veils of Echo and Silence (10 Pieces for mallets, Euphonium, Bass Clarinet and Keyboards)
(10)
Veils of Echo and Silence by David-Ezra Okonsar is a collection of ten modern, atonal pieces that explores the depths of sonic textures and temporal fluidity. Written for a unique ensemble of mallet percussion, euphonium, bass clarinet, and keyboards, each piece unveils its own distinct "veil" of sound—layers of resonance and silence that interact, build, and dissipate within the listening space. The unconventional instrumentation creates a spectrum of timbres, combining the percussive shimmer of mallets with the mellow, sonorous qualities of the euphonium, the rich, dynamic range of the bass clarinet, and the versatile tonal palette of keyboards.
