Solar Eclipse

Here is the first of my footage of the solar eclipse 20 May 2012.

Fantastic! What focal length are you using there, about 400mm?

yup, 400 mm through a welders helmet. It was tough trying to reduce the flare and reflections as well as get a good focus.

Great stuff. Rained all day here in pac. northwest. :-(

Wow. A welder's helmet. LOL. I just thought you had stacked up on ND filters.

It wasn't supposed to show up here in the north. I spent an hour driving around with the mask letting the town kids look at it. When I realized it was going to be a good show I hurried home for the last part of it.
