Existing portfolios

I have a client that is interested in buying the rights to existing portfolios of stock footage. Price would be based on a combination of sales revenue and quality of the material.

Buying all rights ( I can no longer continue to sell the work)? Resale rights, (I can still sell the work but so can your client)? Buying the portfolio on the current site, or on all sites? Or would it be being sold on a 3rd party site current portfolio still stays intact? Vague post considering what your proposing, any further details about this? Who is the client? Are there any contract details? Would there be any derivative work protection?

It is an interesting question how much people think there portfolios are worth. If you look at it as time invested you may come up with one number, if you look at it as potential sales you may get another.
