Inappropriate content appears on pond5 main page

The "JUST ADDED" column on the main page shows all new content, including inappropriate material such as nudes and near-nudes. These should be blocked from the generic pond5 main page.

After V-2 started it was pointed out, I thought it was fixed ... apparently not.

Yup just saw under "Just Added" on front P5 page a full frontal nude (several), no covering of any kind; nipples and pubic hair full view. This request has been asked for years and it keeps coming back. Does P5 really want to cause embarrassment with kids, work place that could cause at a minimum of P5 being locked out of business locations? Is hard adult themed photos and videos so economically important to continue accidentally having them show or even accepted?

Can this be fixed? I don't want Pond5 being blocked where I work. I do a lot of key wording on my lunch break but if the powers that be see that "stuff" they will block it. They blocked Victoria's Secret and that is extremely tame compared to what appears on the P5 main page! Personally, I wish that crap wasn't even accepted....IMHO..but it really needs to be blocked from the main page.

Anyone ever consider that it may not be that easy to do? Remember, unless the database was "clean" from the start, some of these clips may not be tagged as "explicit". Hence, they show up. Perhaps some direct messages to the P5 crew with clip ID's etc might be more helpful than just calling it "crap". At least then P5 has a chance of tagging specific clips and updating the database.

I agree Andy on old products. The ones showing up are new uploads being approved now. I really doesn't matter if it's easy or not. It's totally unacceptable. If they need to remove the "just added" view then that's what should be done. Probably no one would care if it went away. Like sftigress said, business will completely block the site if it continues ... we all lose then.

An easy start for P5 would be a search for nude, naked and review those first for the explicit tag. It's not old ones, it's the new approvals that are showing up now.

Since this is the comment and suggestion thread started by P5 for suggestions it's a good place to start these comments and suggestions.

This is kinda like the pope that broke the gentiles off the marble statues in the Vatican or Attorney General Ashcroft putting clothes on the statues in the U.S. Capitol building. Now you want to put the naked people in the closet with my dying fish never to be seen again.

Here in Calif. the new law says if a boy says he thinks he's a girl he can dress in the girls gym and vs. Sometimes there's a problem and sometimes you just have to laugh. I can picture a whole bunch of boys thinking they're girls real soon.

Thumbs up SlimmPickens :-)

Yup indeed, don't completely disagree with you but a lot of big businesses will lock P5 out of their servers. It's not worth it. It has nothing to do with free speech or censorship, it's the way business is. The military will lock it out and a lot of big, medium and small business will. Is it worth it to make a point?

This has come up many times after programming changes. In ever case P5 has full agreed that the explicit filter would be enforced.

P5 has always been open on individual one-on-one discussions when an artist feels their photo / clip should not be included. That is the way to go. Argue you case as Slim has done in the past. Sometimes ya win ... sometimes not.
