P5's approval time is fast!

P5's approval times are really fast at the moment after the Xmas holidays slowdown. An example:
Yesterday afternoon I went over to a neighboring orchard and filmed some plums being picked. Edited them in the evening and left them to upload overnight. Get up this morning and go online to P5 and tittle and keyword the clips and go outside to do some work. Come back a couple of hours later and they are al online and for sale! Compare that with the plums which are probably still in the coolstore back at a packhouse awaiting processing.
The only downside is that the plums will very likley sell before my clip ever does :-(
But great job P5. . . .that service is pretty impressive. . . . .faster than a perishable product!

Hey Mark,
Yes they are fast.
Cool clip, I see many uses for that.
And you never know, it could sell tonight.

Jake: Yeah well they could sell tonight, that's the great unknown with stock video
and keeps it interesting. I do know that it will be on page 1 on P5 if you do a search for plums(there will be only 2 pages and most of the clips will have nothing to do with plums let alone fruit. . . .they are mostly flowers!)
Thats in its favour with the search engine as many of the other subjects, any new clips will be well down the pages and I do wonder how they will ever be even found. I guess being first on here does elevate you in the searches. . . but I could be completely wrong!

It's another reason why Pond5 is my preferred site, both as a producer and an occasional buyer. I've got clips on other sites that have been waiting since July '08.

I'm guessing which site that is :-(
Either email their support about the stuck file which may or may not get anywhere or delete and re-upload, which is the faster way to get it online.
Unfortunate but that's why this place is the best place to sell.

I'm surprised, ftp's several clips last night and not showing up to keyword. It must be the Canadian factor that is affecting things ;)

Yeah I have a bunch of clips that have been waiting about two weeks for approval, very odd.
