My Stock Demo Reel

Someone else mentioned on another board that a stock demo reel might be a good idea. Such a reel could be posted on YouTube, or Vimeo, or wherever.
It may just lead to a sale or two.
I threw this together recently. What do you guys think?
Is anyone else doing this, too?

I like the train shots, and the night shots a lot.
I have a demo reel on myspace video, Tom (shedli) said pond5 was going to add a demo reel as one of the features a long while ago when I asked if I could put my video logo on my artist page.
I use my demo reel to show my work to people who don't necessarily purchase from stock sites but want me to do custom work and crap.

Thanks. The train shots are my favorite, I think. I love the depth-of-field in those shots.

Awsome job! I have many variations of demo reels on Youtube, Revver, RedGate and Vimeo. It works and helps drive traffic, no doubt. I just recently got a referrer of a very high caliber through this method from LA/Hollywood. This particular ref., also now submits really nice stuff and I am sure it helps along the lines of letting the film world know about Pond 5 as these people most likely talk to their network. It can only help! - Very nice reel and great sound track to keep the interest.

Excellent demo work, ODesigns. I'm impressed. It's a great idea, too. I'll certainly be doing one for myself and copying your idea, now that the "cat's out of the bag." Incidentally, I thought the music in your reel was the perfect choice, and I really like the way you timed the digital "explosions" with the music. Nice touch. My compliments for a job well done. I might also suggest that you add the P5 widget to your demo page. I'll be putting it on mine, for sure.

Thanks for the feedback. I do this stuff for a living, too. It's been my "real job" for about 15 years, so I do have some editing experience.
The key is to MAKE IT SHORT! I was going for :90, but the way I had to edit the song (down from 4:30), it ended up being :98. Close enough.
Feel free to copy it. I'd love to see others' demo reels so I can copy any good ideas I see.... :)
There are no new original ideas in the world anymore.
Yes, the music is perfect. Plus, its a creative commons track, so as long as I credit the creator, I can use it for non-commercial purposes (I can't "sell" my demo reel, but I can display it).
I tried the P5 widget, but it's very tacky, and it makes my eyes bleed when I try to incorporate it into my web design. I've tried.
I think the links are good enough.
Be sure to post your demo reel when it's done so we can all see it!

My stock demo reel is done, and you can see it at http://www.csproductions.info/home.htm. Incidentally, I composed and recorded the music, which is available for download royalty-free at http://www.audiomicro.com/105167/royalty-free-music-details.html.
