Just got mine tonight. Tomorrow is test day.
1. First impression batteries take a long time to charge. Well over two hours according to the manual. The only way to charge as bought is attached to camera. It looks like there are a couple options for battery chargers that will speed up the process.
2. The SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 32 GB 95 MB/s cards needs to be reformatted in your computer to exFat. The camera does not format exFat and it needs that to record 4K. If you try to format in camera you will not be able to record 4K.

Did BMC build that camera?
Format the cards on a PC is crazy.

SDXC card are pre-formatted exFat that's why they work straight from the store. Once formatted in the computer to exFat no problem. Will test how to delete files in camera without having to format again. I had to do the same for the BNC Pocket camera.

I researched the SONY and decided I would not buy it.
that camera does a max of 50mb/s, which was the standard perhaps 5 years ago or more. even at 4k or HD you only get 50mb/s.
The Panasonic GH4 will do something like 200mb/s, and there is a second 100mb/s mode.
both the GH4 and the SONY are similar in price.
I don't know for sure that the GH4 is a better camera, but on paper I made the decision to wait for the GH4.
Most of the cameras I have owned were SONY, and I have been burned before on having a low bit rate by a SONY camera. They don't publish on their product page that the camera only does 50mb/s because they know they have the lowest bitrate of all the 4K cameras.
