How do clip bens work

msimpson 11 Feb 2009 17:50
I am at a loss as to how this works from the viewers perspective. If I click on someones clip bin I get a page result with no clips.

Am I missing something and If so its probably possible potential buyers are as well.

PS: Sorry about the title spelling but I cant go back and change it.

they may have set up a bin with pending files, so the clips won't show until the clips are approved. I know I do it when I'm keywording so when they go live the bin is active right away

Yest but I see lots of thumbnails before I click on the actual bin. I dont think thats the case cause I clicked on a great deal of the bins.

Well, if you click on my avatar here and then on the clip bins, there is not one that does not have at least one clip in it. Check to be sure and then PM to Marcus if you find apparently empty bins. I've been seaching through Kim's bins and could not find any that came up empty either.

On various and Frenchtoast all the bins seem to work as expected. But on Stockshooter none of his bins seem to work for me.

Strange, they work for me. Did you try to flush your browser cache? Any proxies on your connection?
msimpson 13 Feb 2009 01:04
I tried flushing. All bins work but Stockshooters for some reason dont.

Could you please paste an offending link into this thread?
https://www.pond5.com/index.php?page=search_bins&q=artist:Stockshooter seems to work alright here too.

Thanks,
Marcus

Its my fault. I had changed some of the search format settings in the search pulldown and these seem to be sticky from session to sesson even if you are just clicking on links. Not what I expected but now I understand.

Bottom line, if I change any of search format options I need to remember to go back in and reset them to all again later.

It's on the todolist to show if there's any filtering of the search in the next version of the search results page. It is indeed a bit silly the way it is right now.

The format filtering is resetted when you login.
