What's happening...

What's happening with upgrades to the service here and promo, etc.? I'm not getting a lot of action here compared to the other big stock site and am considering going exclusive there. I'm not sure it's worth the trouble to upload to different sites constantly. I'd love for Pond5 to be working out because the payout is a lot better. What are other people thinking?

You read my mind. I haven't uploaded a lot, but I haven't seen the demand here either. And there's not a lot of communication from 'management' as to what is going on.

Which is too bad because, like you, I think this is the better of the sites.

They can leave it in beta forever for all I care, I'd just like to see them start in on promotion.

More promotion (a lot) and some big upgrades are coming soon guys! And we'll be emerging from "beta" too (yes, it is a little overdue...).

Sales are actually coming along quite well, but you'll be seeing a big improvement over the next month or so. So hold tight and keep shooting great material - we'll make sure it gets the marketing it deserves.

Strange... I've had more sales here this month (yes, more sales even in numbers!) than SS and IS combined. First time that happens.

Technically this is easily the best site out there. I wonder how it would perform with about 20 times the traffic it currently has - might be difficult.

However, I agree news has been kind of scarce lately. Any idea what kind of "soon" you're talking about? There has been a "soon" that hasn't happened for over a year now and other "soon"s have been implemented within less than 24 hours. Quite a stretch. So, are we talking about this week, this month, this summer (is it a summer?), this year, this decade or this millenium?

On the marketing front, you can expect the beginning of a promotional push this month, ramping up through the summer (or winter for the southern hemispherites among us).

And don't worry, we'll be able to handle 20x the traffic without breaking a sweat. : )

It would be nice if you could send us some pointers when you have adds in magazins or such things. It's allways great to show friends and family and say "That's the guys the sell my footage." These virtual market places are always a bit hard to understand for the older folks. ;-)

I agree wholeheartedly, this is the best of the stock footage sites. Overall the best navigation and least cluttered. Not to mention the best site for sellers.

I'm looking forward to seeing more traffic and if you guys run promotions, pointing people to those promotions.

Just finshed trips to DC, Rocky Mountain NP, Yellowstone and Grand Teton

Guess what I'll be doing the next couple of weeks.

But some more pointers as to where adds will show up etc will be an incentive for all of us, I'm sure

I know these are all RF clips but a little info on who or maybe what type of use the clips are going to be used for would help direct our efforts.

Any actual timeline for the 1.0 launch?
