Pond5 audio reviewers

Hello everybody, I landed here one week ago. Coming from audiojungle I had hard times with reviewers rejecting most of my audio.

Now here on pond5 I submitted for now 7 music and all got accepted, so I have a doubt.

Do everything get accepted here?

Is there a more relaxed way of reviewing audio quality?

Anyway I find pond5 more professional of audio jungle in the way it is organized.

Thanks for you thoughts about these doubts, because with Audiojungle I started to doubt about the value of my music...

1068 clips, not a single reject...
in my view, it's best this way.
who's to say what sells?
some client might need a clip that some reviewer could dismiss. i had at least one clip sold on p5 that was rejected on another site.

as long as they're managing their database and search processes well, i think its best this way.

I was also surprised that pond5 takes my every track than audiojungle. Time will tell how the tracks will be sold :)

I have submitted over 200 tracks here, and have had only one rejection. That was an attempt at a hip-hop styled track; the curator basically said they had too much of it already. On the other hand, I have a few tracks over on Luckstock. One experimental track I created they rejected, but it sold here. So, yes, one person's trash . . .

I submitted a track to audiojungle twice (with modifications prior to the second time) but both were rejected.

I submitted the same track here and now have 3 sales from it:)

I left audiojungle and have found my home to be here simply because their review comments were generic and templated, not helpful and descriptive.

LivingRoomClassics makes a great point "who's to say what sells?". Just because a track doesn't contain happy clapping throughout, does not mean it won't sell commercially and not everybody wants an overly-polished track....it certainly wouldn't do well in a old-school commercial/movie setting.

anyways, enjoy your time here and best of luck!

ThisBruceSmithI, same here, I had 2 hip hop influenced loops get rejected. The curator said they had too much of that style. Those loops were from another track that was accepted, but I failed to mention that to the curator. Always add a note for the curator at the bottom of the submission page.

So anyway, yes, P5 does reject a few tracks here and there. I think mostly based on what styles they have too much of. Other than that they aren't too picky, in my experience. I will assume they reject music that sounds amateurish and poorly produced. Most of us here have been at it long enough that we don't have to worry about that.

I have had a similar experience by selling a few here that were not accepted by AJ. However, my concern with Pond5 is getting views. I've been here about 7 months, have over 30 tracks, and only get about 8 views a month. This is very small compared to other sites. Is this common with everyone? Is there something more to do to gain views? Thanks - Mike

Besides proper tagging and having a large volume of tracks, there's not much more you can do. If you have any sort of following, you could use your website, Facebook, or twitter to direct them to Pond5.

I had a lot of trouble figuring out what AudioJungle was looking for, but P5 has only rejected 1 of my 45. AJ just became too much of a hassle, especially considering that you had to upload your own watermarked version of the song and a zip file.

I submitted one song to AudioJungle, it was approved (I think) but I don't see it in my profile. Their submission process is tedious and time consuming. Yeah, having to create a watermarked version of a song and then zipping everything, it's just not worth it. Then on top of that possibly getting rejected.
