Warning. I updated the firmware of my DJI Vision 2+. Now the batteries do not "communicate" correctly with the machine. Fully charged batteries after a minute or so the controller and smartphone starts beeping and showing low battery. The quad then goes into the automatic landing function. All-in-all it's no longer flyable. Same thing happens with all three batteries that all worked fine before update. There are numerous similar complaints in different forums.

So be cautious, might not want to upgrade firmware until it's looked into better.

Welcome to the world of quad fly-aways. I had a DJI Vision 2 that was only a couple weeks old fly away with no control. Never found it either.

In my case he flyaway last Sunday, and I don't have find him until now. I had it less than a year and had not upgrade the firmware.

RekindlePhoto, in your case you try to use the "find my phantom" application?
To me this application gave me a point 15km away. I went there but nothing... is very estrange, because I had been flying in that exactly point 2 weeks ago. I guess he was not accepting the new home locations since that one... otherwise why he went there?!
Do you think that the application is viable?

"find my phantom" did not work for me. If the battery comes loose on impact then it will not work. As with all aerial machines, don't fly them unless you are willing to have the flying machine and camera destroyed at any time. It's a risk for all of them. I'm still waiting for word from DJI on the upgrade problem. As normal with them, they are very unresponsive.

I will be much more careful from now on!!! But one thing I can say, the application "find my phantom" is not trustable!
