Yuri Arcurs - in the news, again!

This is about one of our fellow artists - okay, a very well known artist in the stock photo world, and now here as well: Yuri Arcurs on Pond5

This should inspire people to keep on shooting - no matter what! It does so for me. :)

Just wait till Yuri start uploading photo here and not at microstock prices either.

I see a $50,000 Hasselblad and GM models (Genetic Modified Models) ;-)

Pretty sure it is him - unless some has stolen his videos from "another site" (not that any other site is as good as Pond5 of course!)

Well Don are you worth a million or more?

So he has and/or he represents 300,000+ images. That means if he started about 5 years ago he is taking 164 photos a day very day which includes the time to set-up the shot, plus all the other editing re-touch computer work involve. I think there are many other European photographers behind him that do not get the credit for their work. That is not the story here in P5.

Still not convinced that he is a one man show. He sure likes to makes promo videos were he is completely alone. Uses the word "my" a lot of times and the word "we" very few times.

He had a job listed on his site last year for a videographer so I'm sure his videos are shot by someone else since Yuri lives in Scandinavia and the video is listed as shot in South Africa, I'm sure it isn't him behind the camera.

But if you're big enough and have the cash you can hire someone to shoot and turn over all of the rights to you.
I would love to have the cash to be able to do that.
