March 2008 Sales

Well time to start the new month. Not bad last month and all my clips sold averaged over $50 each. I did see that a couple contributors sold more but at $12-$15 sale price made far less money , ....hummmm. Looks like to me a starting at $50 for HD isn't to bad of an idea.
Well only a few days but a sale each day, great start, significant increases each month for a few month. Pond5 is starting to be noticed. Best of luck to all of us ;).

Yeah, I try to provide a variety of clips, but I think Im going to shift my work to higher end stuff as I go along, especially now that big buyers are looking at p5.

I sold some high priced stuff and low priced stuff, but I think I would rather have 10 incredible clips than 50 average clips.

I had two sales this month so far. I do have to say my "views" on my dashboard really jumped up in the last week. I hope that meant new traffic and buyers are coming to P5.

Don, I'm close to your neck of the woods. In Austin for the weekend to get some new shots.

I'm just returning from a trip to Utah so not home until late tomorrow. Made a side trip through Mesa Verde indian ruins so hope to have some good video of them ready. Heck I still have about 15 tapes I need to process from the two weeks in Hawaii last month. Austin has some great photo and video ops, good luck.

Don, I have about 60 clips from my Austin trip. I'm in the process of keywording the last 30 or so.

*sigh* I want to go to Hawaii.

I hope the current economic conditions aren't going to create a slow down in sales. Then again, maybe with a weakened dollar, our stuff will be more appealing to Europeans etc.

Remember these quotes and who said them "The economy is strong" "I haven't heard about gas prices at $4.00 A GALLON".

A week with no sales is indeed a sad adventure ;(. I'm sure the 90+ HD clips awaiting review are the ones that would have sold. AND come-on referals, where are all your sales ... slow week all-aroud. It rained yesterday but today is sunny ... a good day for a dozen sales ;). Maybe ... just maybe P5 is slow at registering sales this week? Fingers crossed ;)
edit: ya a sale for the week ... now next week has got to be good to make a four digit sales month ;)
