Nice looking camera.
I've been waiting for Canon to come out with something in this price range but it looks like they aren't.
I like the fact that this camera will output to the HDMI port at 4.2.2 to an external recorder.
Here are some tests with it.

For studio work, I do not think you need the viewfinder nor the mic assembly, nor the Sony lens. Just the body, your own lens, and external monitor.

The viewfinder detaches. I would use my Marshall monitor as now and my Zeiss lenses with a Sony to EOS adaptor (which I stll have from that other Sony I just sold).
I wouldn't bother with the Sony slow glass anyway.
But I don't think I'm buying this camera. Still waiting......

i just rented the sony this weekend for a stock shoot with a model.
have to edit the stuff, but really impressed, once i stuck on my canon lens. didnt really like the supplied sony lens at all. but problem is no aperture control with canon EF lens, and its a bit annoying to use a 5d every time i wanted to change the ap. hopefully an electronic adaptor is in the pipeline from someone... but video quality looks lovely.
a lot of money for this camera. i will wait a while, and see if anything else comes along. but its certainly an option!!
will add some videos to show, nice they are up on pond :-)

You mean in that video?
Someone named Jeff Scholl with a $10,000 RC helicopter plus the camera.
