Pretty sweet, this has a LOT of potential. Clear weather, some nice music instead of the motor sound, shots with different angles (camera mounts)... Yay, makes me want to book a plane and steal that thingy... not that I'd be able to fly that, but still... ;-)

Looks like a real blast. What does it take to fly one of those things? Do you have to get a license or something?

I've been using the GoPro HD Hero. Lately I've been shooting 60 fps 720 HD although it will do full 1920x1080 p at 30 fps. I've been mounting the camera on a chest mount so my body absorbs most of the engine vibration. A good description is on my web site at http://rekindlephoto.com/GoProHeroHDCam.aspx

If the powered parachute is a single seat and weights less than 254 pounds then no training, medical or license required (although a little instruction would be a good thing). For the two seater all you need is a light sports license that only takes 12 hours of flight instruction plus a FAA test.

Much of the video was really only a foot off the ground, with the wide angle it looks a little higher than I was. Today I decided to fly a high and flew along the edge of a mountain at nearly 9,000 feet. I really like the low level flying a lot more. It's a real blast, in fact I flew twice today, morning and evening.

I'm retired USAF, flew the F4 Phantom II C/D/E and G Wild Weasel models. Also flight time in F-111, F-5 and various other operational and training aircraft. I love being in the air. This ultralight is one of the funnest since it can fly so low and slow.

Your in UTAH, 84% owned by the federal gov., I bet you also have UFO flight time ;-) Did you ever visit Ramey AFB in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico?

If you could build a mount to hold a little larger camera in the right position for shooting while you also fly, and add a gyro or two to cancel the vibration, you'd have a very cool shooting platform. I wonder how it'd work for wildlife stuff?
