What do people use this stock video for?

I have only put up about 50 videos and sold just a few. I wondered what do people use these videos for? Are they for web videos, news reports or corporate films? Who are these strange people that put money in my account very irregularly? What do they do? Have you ever met any of these people in the street, if so what do they wear?

Let me please add one more question: what are the keywords that led to the sale of my clip?

I'm a seller and a buyer. I work for a video production company and occasionally we need a clip that we don't have.

I've seen some of my clips on TV commercials, too. Ironically enough, the biggest buyer of my Pittsburgh clips are the local Pittsburgh TV stations. I've seen many of my shots on their promos.

Must be pretty surprising to see your clips up on TV, thanks for that, I suppose the more you know about the people that buy, the more you can aim your footage towards them. I live in London but the scenic shots of London are pretty much saturated, theres only so many shots of Big Ben a man can stand!
You've got a bit of a niche with Pittsburgh, I suppose that people that buy from Pond5 are mainly American?

Of my videos that I've seen the finished product have been in TV commercials and one Hollywood Movie.

Check out the "as seen on" forum. There are numerous examples of places where Pond5 clips have been spotted, including television shows, movies, commercials, web videos, etc..

I didn't know about the"as seen on" forum,that could be pretty intersting, how kk5hy managed to find himself in a polish TV commercial is an achievement in itself.

Lot of buyers, perhaps the majority are not broadcast TV, but in house corporate or web based ...

The producer of that commercial actually emailed me with some questions, I asked him if he could send the finished commercial to me.

That is really rare you get a email from someone that bought a clip.
