CONTEST Week 2 vote

I'll start the ball rolling.

1st- rocket science diagrams
2nd- cemetery visit part 1
3rd- Alaska glacier from air


rocket diagrams- Love the concept and animation.
You weren't the only one with a weird childhood Mark, I also created a lot of electronic projects since my dad was a TV repair man, I had access to his shop.

Cemetery, I like the story and the multiple cuts. (I'm glad you didn't enter the getting in the shower clip though :-)

Alaska glacier- I like aerial shots and this was a great execution.


On another note, the week three is flowers. I have mine keyworded.

For a second there I thought Marcus was suggesting to delete these threads. ;-)

Anyway, my votes:
1: Bible girl - good actress, lovely faded/analog look!
2: Cemetery visit - close second... Probably would have put it #1 if it had been the whole thing.
3: Rocket science - I could kick myself I didn't have that idea... ;-)

The glacier... Great shot, good execution, but I don't really see the need to do it B/W

I liked the glacier shot, a lot. I like dapoopta's editing style, its very old school.. and the black and white kind of adds to that feel. He edits like Michael Curtiz.
Personally, when I edit videos it is very fast paced with a lot of time remapping, with a lot of cutaways. (like the show burn notice, or the movie crank) Maybe sometime we should do a contest where we do a short sequence, like what dapoopta did with the cemetary. Although, I am not certain of the marketablility of edited sequences.

I thought the same thing about edited clips so I've only done one to test the water but just recently it sold here. So I may do another or so.

So... who wins? Is anyone still interested in this? These contest threads seem rather deserted.

Only a few playing. Do we want to add up the totals for a winner or just be able to see what everyone voted? I think it's still fun to see a group select clips on a specific subject each week. Whatcha all think?

I'm still in. The thread is deserted though, but I'm having fun and I think as long as we keep up with it more people will join in.

I think for now we just see how people vote and why. After it gets more popular we can select winners.

Don, do you want to start the week3 thread? Seems more people entered in that one.
