So this is how I spent this last weekend. Not fun. We pulled ~ 200lbs of honeycomb (~150 honey, and 50 brood) along with about half a million bees and 3 queens! This was out of my house's roof. I hired a beekeeper so as to save the bees. All I can say is it cost a fortune, but at least I got some footage out of it. We started at night in hopes that the bees would be more settled - hence the infra-red footage.

Something like this was recently reported in Georgia. Bees had made a home in someone's floor for many years before the owners got wise of it. What was it that clued you into your infestation?

When they broke into one of my bedrooms and quietly stole stuff. :) - Actually, we had an empty bedroom with door closed, then my wife wanted to get something out of there - and - well, it looked like an opening scene to a horror movie. They actually burrowed through a small hole in the top corner, which was right below the hive in the ceiling. We did notice a bunch of bees buzzing outside of the window for a couple of weeks - but as it turns out - these guys have most likely been at work for about 3 years or so. It was an adventure for sure. - I still here the wife's scream. LOL
