Favorite Clips from DSLR's

Shot with my Canon 7d and the 55- 250 efs lens no IS on the Manfroto Tripod. I had captured monarchs in our 'butterfly garden' a few years back with smaller sd camera, and have been wanting to get hd clips of this ever since. Monarchs are far and few between in these regions, reports of populations diminishing have been in the news. I was fortunate the other day after a big rain to capture a few lapping up nectar from cone flowers - lots of other flowers in the garden but they seem to prefer cone flowers, which are an indigeonous plant to this region. BTW, thanks Jake for the tip on the welding clip with the overcast sky, I'll try to key it out and replace it with a more engaging sky. Keep up the helpful advice/examples everyone!

Mike, I think this would look very cool in BW, kind of the Ansel Adams feel, same locations, etc.

Yeah, I agree, but such an effect is easily applied by an editor, so I suppose I'll save P5 the extra HD space and leave this one be. It's funny how accessible this view is now (compared to when Ansel took his first shots from this same vantage point, I'm sure it was a dirt road at best). I love his description of the photograph he took from this same spot, saying he liked it because the scene is so vast and large without one man-made object visible to the eye (luckily this is still true today).
