2000 clips online

@motion_poland - congatulations. I am also considering uploading my clips in 2 flavors - 1920x1080p and 720x480p .

i`m waiting when pond will downsize our footage, right now NTSC is about 30% -40% of my sales so i`m still uploading 1080p or 720p and NTSC.

I think unique vj loops are bragable :-). But if I have a render of the same thing in 3000 different colors it can't count.

I like @motion_poland work. He understands very well how to illuminate his talents and get the correct lighting angle. He has done a lot of work to reach his goals and buyers who read this forum section should check out his portfolio.

Nice! That is a lot of work for sure.

For those of you that have multi-thousand clip accounts, what kind of trends are you seeing? Is it really just a matter of quantity, or are only certain high-profile clips moving? Any wisdom or statistics you could share would be much appreciated.

@rmcwilson: Diversity is most likely best, from my point of view. I am always surprised (pleasantly) on what sells when. I try to keep it as diverse as possible and never second guess anything on what will be interesting for a buyer or not. As much as I have some really nice specialty stuff (lightning for example) I still try to keep a very diverse portfolio. Based on what I have read from various people here on the boards, I have not seen much of a change in sales as far as dropping, just a change in interest as to what type of things are being purchased. As I always tell my buds and fellow shooters - "Just shut up and shoot!"

Another thing I do is, when working on a project and when I need a specific piece of footage, usually I can not find it. That is when I make lots of notes and create a series of exactly that type of topic. It serves two purposes - it fits my immediate needs for the project as well as the creation of new clips for sale. Again - this process forces diversity by default and keeps one up to date with trends as customers usually are the trendsetters, not us. Just my 10 cents. :)
