What an amazing clip, Physics. Where are they going to? Is it safer in the sea than in the harbor? Did the Tsunami wave realize?

Hawaii was hit by a small tsunami from the Canadian quake but I didn't see any reports of damage. Boats out at sea in deep water will suffer no bad effects from a tsunami, they may not even notice it if the water's very deep. Check on Youtube for the video of the Japanese coast guard vessel sailing over the March 11th tsunami waves. Amazing and surreal footage.

That is correct. If there is time to get out to the deeper water, the wave is low in the water.

No significant wave resulted, but I was out on the balcany watching them go out, and realized it was a unique chance for an evacuation clip. Thanks much for the feedback.
