'Revenue Generated' instead of 'Number of Sales'

Hey guys,

Great feedback here. Know that the Adobe partnership is one of a handful that we're trying to win and develop. We were able to finish the plugin within a month (awesome execution from our developers and designers) but it took almost a year to develop the relationship. Adobe is in love with the panel and is actually using it for demos. A film school recently made orders for Premiere and a mandatory plugin is ours, as they'll be using it extensively for educational purposes. It's a good win, but as everyone is saying, more can be done with Adobe, specifically, and with marketing & branding Pond5, in general. We'll definitely need your help in spreading that news. Going viral is key in an artist-sourced marketplace, so thanks for being faithful to the Pond5 cause.

We have a special invite of our v2 website out this month so anyone that would like to test it out can email feedback@pond5.com or just email me at chris@pond5.com.

As for number of sales vs. revenue generated, I think it's an interesting "sort" feauture worth adding, and I'll bring it up in our next product call. Solid points there.

Keep the feedback coming. We want Pond5 to be the global marketplace for every type of media maker out there.

I have been looking at the version 2, and wanted to say that it is cool. I like the big thumbnails and the way the individual artist pages are layed out. Great job!

I don't think other people should be able to see how many times a video has been sold.

... and hide keywords. Since someone thinks that is important enough to be on the front page "hot tags", individuals keywords don't need to show to anyone but the artist who owns the footage or product.

I like having keywords visible. I like how they are clickable for buyers to search for similar strings of terms.

I also like it because it helps when looking at similar clips I am uploading to get ideas on how people tag their footage.

I like them because I can just copy Rekindle's... Just joking.

The by revenue generated would really screw over people doing graphics. If you guys did it just for footage, I wouldn't mind, some people make expensive crap too though, just because it has a high price tag doesn't mean it's quality...

The Adobe deal is awesome, great job guys! We all appreciate what your doing.

Maybe dual showing both number and revenue. This will also help show new artists what the sales are really like and maybe ... just maybe help curtail the bottom feeding prices on some of the products by showing the income that can be made with reasonable business pricing. CG pricing has been held down and I can see how it would look. On the photo side maybe it will encourage a little higher price look ... maybe not.

If the revenue versus number is used in search it should balance everything. When searching for footage versus CG I would think most searches are either specific for footage or CG. IMHO search priority should be given to revenue and not number sold. Make the search easy to do specific searches for photos, CG and footage so like Bryan said it doesn't "really screw over people"
