Approval times ...

If ya'll haven't noticed, P5 web site shows more clips on-line now than SS. Both are great agencies and both growing real fast. Well done P5, review times are pretty darn good and sales great and commission for artists ... well absolutely superb!

I am glad for P5, but not happy that it takes over a week to get clips approved now... :(

IS takes 6-8 weeks. That is directly from them telling me how long it takes. Yup, agree when it usually happens here in a day and then extends to a week it is a patience testing time. Hope P5 moves more towards quality of existing artists and slows down new galleries until approvals can keep up.

Yeah, it was a mild complaint. MUCH better than other sites.

I had one sit on there for a while... I ended up deleting it off and reupping... haven't had the problem since

Hi, The problem was caused by two things:

Some files contained the ' characted which confused a script. This is fixed now.

Some files contained non ascii characters like ä. I thought this was fixed, but obviously it isn't. The problem could be said to be caused by the Linux file system we use (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ext3) because it doesn't care about encoding. A file name is a set of bytes, no more no less, and what these bytes actually mean is between you and your shell. So somewhere these bytes aren't treated as UTF-8. As a quick fix to get your files through, I renamed ä -> a etc and put the files on the queue. I'll try to find the bug tomorrow.

best regards,
Marcus

I think mine had a confusing character in it, which was ' " '. When I reupped I took it out thinking it might have been that.
