How do we get back to V1?????

I am still in V1.....for the moment....until it crashes or vanishes.

The time has come to retire V1. Our Dev team has moved forward with maintaining only Version 2, but please know that we want V2 to be even better! So please share your feedback with us, so we can improve.

I know this pains many of you, as you've been working with V1 for years to find the most streamlined uploading and tagging process for your workflow, and I completely understand your frustrations with this move. However, this is a great opportunity to provide us with any issues of bugs and specific items that are problematic so that we can move forward with the best overall option for both artists and buyers. Your solutions and feature requests are definitely appreciated as we evolve and move forward with Pond5.

Let's use this as an opportunity to work together to continue to make Pond5 the most artist-friendly marketplace out there!

P.S. please provide screenshots, screen recordings, and/or detailed, specific instructions on the things you dislike most about the interface and the uploading/tagging process, as it makes our ability to fix these problems MUCH easier and focused!

KISS. Model release on the data input page. One click download CVS data. Simple dynamic template. Simple one click copy paste of "owned" keyword and descriptions. Start with overview page when artist signs in and not front page advertising page. When features were removes from V1 many artists gave suggestions over and over. Give full functionality of V1 back into V2. Removing easy used functionality is what we are complaining about. On the artist side KISS and simple is much better than pretty and multi steps to accomplish basic keywording and data editing.

Let's cut BS Ryan. It has take P5 more than a year to come up with V2 and still doesn't have the functionality V1 had.

I also was using V1 all the time but no more after trying V2 - I can't go back to V1. SAD, very very SAD. And in the old days Marcus implemented all fixes we asked immediately without need for screenshots, user polls etc. Where is Marcus?
Ryan: why it take YEARs to fix 'Audio is included' all artists are complaining?

Funny how they can add a language but can't seem to fix simple problems. From a contributors point of view simplicity seems to be P5's Achilles heel.

V2 had a lot more artificial usage because of the thread reporting sales that was only viewed in V2. Many artists truly tried to use V2 but unfortunately mostly because of that thread. Like Zygistudio said, in the good old days a recommendation for the site was made and Marcus had it implemented within hours and sometimes within minutes. An actual discussion was held and updates made. At NAB we were told that as long as artists significantly were using V1 it would be available ... oh well ...

Please continue to post/send in/vote on your most-wanted V1 features to be added (or removed, as many of you say) to V2. You can even email me personally at ryan@pond5.com and I'll see to it that they continue to be added to our list of bugs, features, and things you want implemented.

Eventually V1 will go "6 feet under" as Marcus has told me. ;)

Suggestion ... don't remove any features of V1 but add new or easier ways of doing things on V2. Things like simple copy paste from our own existing footage to new footage, same page model release on edit/keyword page, when an artist starts P5 have the overview page as default. Add to V1 and everyone will be happy. Where is dynamic template for footage on V2?

Allow artists to rank order keywords in what we feel are most important. Even if P5 does not use priority we as artists do and it's easier to edit as time goes by. Example: allow artists to place curser in spot that we want to insert a particular keyword.
