I have had clips in queue for about 2-3 days now (maybe less...) but it seems the queue is backed a tiny bit. Just wait it out. As long as the clip says 'pending review' you are good.

Now the other question i have maybe someone can answer this. I have a hvx 200a. Why does it say the format is dv when is supposed to be hd. Am i supposed to shoot all my stuff at 1080 instead of 720?

Yes. I think 720 is considered HD... not 100% sure. I shoot in 1080 and it is HDV. I am not sure with the hvx200 since it uses that special codec... that is one of my questions too. I want a EX1 (dreaming..but maybe next year) and it records in that xdcam format.... which I don't if it is a codec or what.

I'd shoot all in 1080 anyway, you can always down convert

yeah i know. I will be purchasing a letus elite lens adapter soon. So i dont know if that is going to make a difference as far as format goes. i mean is only a adapter lens

I believe that with your camera it will shoot in 720 p and 1080i both are classed as HD. You should vary depending on what your subject is.
As a very loose rule, interlaced is good for faster moving action (i) and progressive will give you a more 'filmy' look (p). Just make sure that if you are shooting progressive to keep it smooth and slow.

Regarding the queue I've had clips in there for about a week which is unusual but probably due to the long weekend, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just shoot and upload.

If you are coming out of FCP, export using "quicktime conversion" not export "a quicktime movie." If you use this export your files should have a .mov extension. You can then go in and choose the codec and other export parameters for your final file.

2 or 3 day approval is strictly PR.
Im now in one wek and holding !
Im certain near hoildays this gets very difficult to manage with so many people home and doing photography at their leisure.
Still hope and wish that a MUCH better How To is instituted soon.
I believe the pond5 crew take a lot for granted, as How To use and especially NAVIGATE the different FUNCTIONS & APPROVALS and parts.
RE: When to move Clips / Where and and How to manage the total site.
Im lurnin slow and little each day... But still await how to "move what when and where" once approval of clips is completed.

so clips in the curator quew, that are pending approval, will be there for how long, 1 to 2 weeks ?..have had some thers since joining on monday, agree was not easy to figure out what was what, but had help from the very good forum here, but a posting of the steps would have been nice

The Pond5 crew has always been great with what ever I need. Sorry you don't feel the same but let me extend a welcome and try and help. What do you need exactly tahoeartisan?
Feel free to use personal message also. This site is not to complex just takes a little getting used to, it functions great for the most part. The approval time I can assure you is not PR it's usually how it is, but there is no written in stone thing saying it will always be that way some places take a hell of a lot longer. I try and look at it as great when it happens but not expected. Not to say I don't get a little jumpy when it's been five or six days.

I agree they are responsive and want to assist.
Marcus has attempted to help, but I am still looking for actual steps #1 thru ? to follow.
I get reponse from members but mostly am told that I need to learn to navigate.
