ok, use pond5 approved clips on all of them. That way P5 already has it's logo for all to see ;)

I think these sites are great for sharing knowledge with other people, by posting how to do it tutorials. If you want to showcase work I think you should be aware of the potential loss of ownership, or theft.

If you do a how to tutorial on using the 5d or some other camera, what if they take that and sell it to Nikon to put in their dvd or something on that line?

Mark, the way they screw you is by saying that you uploaded the material, meaning you have the model release on file. So they would use it and then when it comes suing time they would come to you and ask for the model release that you uploaded, saying you had the rights and gave it to vimeo. Tricky crap.

I think if they would take a video and use it for their own advertising or sell etc. they would go for the thousands of videos that don't have a copywrite watermark embeded in the video.

Or they would use Scotts music video wearing the bra because nothing else would compare to that work.

Anything you are going to sell, don't put it on the Video sharing sites, until they change their cash grab terms of service.

Im not too worried about it, I have one clip on there that is for sale, the other one is so water marked so heavily that no one can erase the water mark....

If you put a big ugly watermark on it (and its a copyrighted logo). I doubt they would use that one for anything.
