I don't think "views" is an absolute value. I've had sales on clips with 0 views.

Same here ODesigns
I know people who started some websites and where checking there stats every 30minutes. All they wanted is views views views. But thats not what its about the sales, they are important. To stay in the website terms. Some sites earn a fortune with 100 visitors a day, other websites need thousands of visitors to make a few bucks.
So what i want to say.. Views don't say much, some clips convert with every 10 views other clips need 400 views to make one sale.
Also i think you can't compare views with different sites. Its possible that istock also counts search engine bots who crawl the pages.

Yes, clip views at other sites can be suspect. . . . I think some of them must count your clip being returned in a search on a page of other clips as a hit. I suspect the clip doesn't even need to be seen to record a hit.

Well I'm new here.... But what I've found at other sites is that when they can see the clip with a mouse over... it doesn't record it as a view.... it only records as a view if they actually click on it.... I'm not sure if that's the way it is here..... But, They can mouse over it and get a good idea of the clip.... then "IF" it's something they think they could use, then they'll actually click on it.... so there's a good chance that the clips are being seen through the mouse over and it's just not recorded as a view....
To "me" views don't mean anything... it's only the sales that count...
