When?

I too had zero sales in november. Instead of sales going up, like on other sites, sales seems to be going down here in the course of time.

Like gmanvideo I am not going to upload any new videos until something happens here. It is just not worth the effort. Weeks or months? Whatever.

Im just starting here at Pond5, is it even worth uploading?

Definitly worth uploading, yes. It's a bit frustrating to see the 1.0 launch advertised over and over again and nothing happens - not like the old times when we said "we could use this feature" and the next morning it was up and working. But a couple of hundred dollars each month (from sales!) convince me time and again to keep uploading. ;-)

Right on Don! What do you think it cost to convert film to video these days just to turn around and sell it for 50% of $15.00. Does he own the farm or he did just give it away. I don't think he's Hemingways heir nor is he a Rockefeller. Any one else have a comment on low clip prices. Oh yes!! There is one clip listed at $2.00 but I won't tell who it's from. I think he used that check box price my clip.

One last thought on low clip prices. With the US dollar so low around the world to day if a clip sold for $10.00 at 50%. How mush would the artist receive in Argentina?

Personally I wish all stock sites would increase the price of photographs and videos across the board.

This conversation is starting to sound like the traditional photograph stock sites. They can't understand why we "give" our photographs for $1.00 (or less) when we could sell the same photos with them for $100.
There are traditional stock video sites that sell videos for a few hundred dollars. They can't see us selling for 50% of $50 either.
I guess everything is relative.

I know I'm new here but I wish this site didn't have the price the videos youself thing. That could get out of control with selling too low.

Are you suggesting price fixing? Would you feel better if Pond5 set the prices? Look at it this way P5 sets the sale price for your clips at $159 and you receive 37% of that. I don't think so. Sure stock companies have overhead cost but so do you. You have pay for gas, equipment, computers, software/hardware ect. Than there's the time spent editing and uploading those clips. Oh don't forget the electric,heating,rent and the internet fees. Does is all make sense? Do you feel that
$15.00 per clip ( that's your take per clip ) will cover your overhead and still have money left over? Pond5 should raise the minimum price and we do like wise in our pricing.

Well you can start by raising yours. Take a look at what others are selling their HD's for. Who is going to gain from low balling clip prices? Think!!
