This one was fun to get. Riding the Alpine Slide at Seven Springs Ski Resort near Pittsburgh. A DSLR makes this type of shot easy to get.

I shot it at 1080, but I had to crop it to 720 to cut out my Nike shoes. I should have taped over the swooshes.

Oh well. 720 is still good.

Waaaaah! Great shot ODesigns! Yeah, the Swoosh made an appearance in on of my shots of the feet of marathon runners, making it editorial... It's hard these days to avoid logos.

James, Great clip.
Were you holding your camera with a death grip?
ODesigns 3 Aug 2010 12:50
Yes, I was. I wasn't really going THAT fast, but I think the 6.5mm fisheye lens made it look like I was zooming.

You have control over your speed. I was holding the camera with my right hand, keeping it as still as possible, while controlling my decent with my left hand on the break.

Here's another take I did while shooting my friend holding her niece in the other lane. I didn't do any cropping on that one, and I think I was going even faster that time.

Just some cool spacey stuff - the Pleiades rise during the Perseid meteor shower (and yes there is a meteor in this clip, but it's very fast about halfway through just above the Pleiades - preview makes it tough to see even in full screen until completely processed):
